D792-3 Letters accompanying the reports on the OEMMIWOA. Warning about CIA surveillance.

Language: Spanish

No. of Copies 1

CONCERNING THIS LETTER which you are reading:

You will keep this letter with considerable reserve; it would be preferable to destroy it after a few days, because of its reference to a brother of yours who works for an intelligence service).

You may (and we recommend that you do so) read this letter at your home to the following brothers of yours, including their wives.

Alberto Borras, Juan Aguirre, Dionisio Garrido Buendía, Julián Barrenechea, Javier Muela, José Jordán, Joaquín Martínez, Rafael Farriols, Juan Domínguez, Enrique Villagrasa, Francisco Mejorada, Luís Jiménez Maruhenda.

Do not think of reading it over the telephone, photocopying it or sending it by telefacsimile.

Wait until your above-mentioned brothers living in other cities come to Madrid to read it. Then, we repeat, it would be prudent to destroy it

The enclosed report on UMMOWOA must be treated as follows before making photocopies. Reproduce it on a typewriter so that our seals do not appear. The typewritten copy may then be reproduced photostatically or by telefacsimile and sent to whomever you choose, including the four brothers mentioned.

At this moment a brother of mine and I are in your Country. We can reveal to you without any risk that we are within the city of Albacete. We do not dare to send you our texts through the postal channel. When we decide to send you a report, we will do so through a collaborator of ours, a brother of yours, who will travel periodically to Albacete.

At a later moment the text will be delivered only to the home of Jorge Barrenechea. We earnestly ask you that, should you be authorised to make copies, you reproduce the text on a typewriter or by hand, so that our seals do not appear. Then you may go on to photocopy them.

The originals will be deposited in a confidential archive held by Jorge Barrenechea. You therefore make yourself responsible for ensuring that the image of their text with the violet seal is not reproduced.

The limits of this responsibility are these: We would be obliged to suspend our sending of data if our request were not heeded.

We want to warn you, Mr Jorge Barrenechea, that there is a certain risk that they may enter your home to steal documentation.

We will clarify this point for you.

At this moment a brother of yours of British nationality has taken charge in Spain of the surveillance of our activities. His name is NORMAN H WEST. He appears as a member of a British airline, but he does not work for the services of his Nation but for those of another country (whose identity you will reasonably suspect)

We send you his photograph, inserted in a document which my brothers took from him while he was carrying out a mission to watch our activity. You should familiarise yourselves with his face. Afterwards it would be advisable to destroy that document.

He directs three other men of the Iberian section (Spain and Portugal) instructed to watch us and you.

The telephones of Messrs Jorge Barrenechea, Luís Jiménez, Juan Aguirre and Rafael Farriols are tapped. They record the telephone conversations, but the monitoring is carried out at random, not continuously. We know that they are planning to enter the home of you: Jorge Barrenechea when you are away.

We want to reassure you, for we have found a means of aborting that plan. In any case, since its reliability is not absolute, it would be advisable that you move the documents you have received since 1987 to another place, which you must decide secretly without telling anyone but the brother involved in the move.

You run no personal risk. These agents know that you are mere recipients of our information, and the rules they receive are very strict about not affecting the integrity of the persons subjected to the monitoring. In any case we understand that it is annoying for you to feel watched by means of telephone monitoring, possible searches of your homes, the following of your vehicles and microphone monitoring when you go out of your homes.

One of the watchers, of US nationality, John Arthur Childs, is an excellent lip-reading expert. He has watched you, Mr Juan Aguirre, Juan Domínguez and Jorge Barrenechea and your wives when you were eating in restaurants in Madrid, and also Messrs Pons and Farriols in Barcelona.

We believe that, except for a possible but unlikely act of theft of documents, their activity should not worry you too much. They seem to believe that you know where we live.

Should they enter your homes, they are specialised in carrying out searches without leaving visible traces. They would probably confine themselves to photographing documents. They do not usually force armoured doors. They gain access by means of steel cables anchored to the roofs of the building, through inner courtyards. Beforehand they usually make sure that the dwelling or office to be monitored is unoccupied during that interval. They never carry weapons in their actions, and the agents who watch you are provided with false passports or documents from Lebanon, Italy and Colombia. Those four brothers of yours have a command of the Spanish language.

))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

In your telephone conversation with my brother you referred to the conditions of your home in Calle Goya in Madrid for holding meetings. At this moment the only area monitored by our miniaturised recording equipment is the fourth floor of your building, since the profusion of furniture allows it to be camouflaged. It is very difficult for us to monitor your basement. If the number of brothers meeting is not large, we beg you to meet in the area of the fourth floor. We have tapped the telephones of almost all of you. On some occasions we have placed our equipment in the homes of your brothers Farriols, Aguirre and Domínguez, but now we have no monitoring there.

4th letter

UMMOAELEWE

Date 20-1-1988

Our good friend Jorge Barrenechea. .

We enclose with this letter another fraction of the report on UMMOWOA and OYAGAAWOA which you asked us for on an earlier date in the course of a dialogue over the telephone.

We have reasons to fear that reading this text may provoke intense rejection, indignation and wounded feelings in some brothers of yours whose mental processes feel affinity with a certain religious creed.

Let those brothers of yours believe us that at no moment have we thought of hurting their feelings. Our judgements are objective, based on the information we possess. It is not our fault that historical events took place in that way, or that the versions of certain events have undergone literary interpolations, mystifications and distortions through oral transmission, inevitable because they are founded on unreliable mnemonic evocations ... all processes that turn into mythical ideas.

But we do not invite you to believe our version, since we refrain from providing proofs of our assertions. We think you should be prudent and remain faithful to your old ideas, unless you understand the need to revise them through a process of evolution by rational mechanisms.

We have asked you, nevertheless, to refrain for a certain time from circulating copies of the reports we have sent you in the last period of our relations. It is quite possible that in the near future we will authorise you to publish them, when we consider that there is no serious risk of influencing broad strata of the population.

We see no objection whatsoever to your reading the authorised copies to your family and close friends, provided they do not provide copies of them. Nor do we see that it could cause any appreciable disturbance if your brother Luís Jiménez Maruhenda, or any other brother of yours, sets out points from our reports in his public lectures, provided they take these precautions. Not to read directly the reports received since 1987 (and still less provide copies of them). Not to guarantee publicly the truthfulness of their contents, always alluding to the fact that their source is unknown. For the rest, any of the cosmo-biophysical, technical, ideological or other information we have provided to you may be set out from memory.

We feel affection for your brothers in Italy associated with Mr

CROSIGNANI ANGELO

Whose address we give you so that you may write to him.

Vía Concilio Vaticano ,4

20157 MILAN (Italy)

Do not give him a copy of this letter. I ask you to write telling him that at this moment, within Europe, there are brothers of mine only in Bonn (Federal Republic of Germany) and Albacete (Spain).

In a possible future expedition to the Italian Republic, we will send them a report. That we feel true affection for CROSIGNIANI ANGELO and that our last journey to Italy, from June 1976 to October 1978, impressed my brothers intensely, to a markedly greater degree than other Countries of Europe. The information obtained about its artistic wealth was sent to UMMO. No nation, apart from India and Japan, has deserved so much attention from us, in its facet of aesthetic creativity, as the Italian peninsula. You may also tell him that Italy, together with Sweden and Denmark, are the European countries where my brothers have moved with most freedom without being troubled. We hold a special affection for the OEMII (men of these nations).
